Two storied log house built with environmentally friendly materials. There is a comfortable living room on the ground floor connected with a handy kitchen. Equipped with fridge, electric stove, hot and cold running water. You will find also separate bedroom for a sound sleep and a wc. Hall for enjoying sounds of nature you will find upstairs along with second bedroom with king size bed. Also wide bathroom with shower.
Sauna building is 30m away from house near a pond. It offers steam-bathing, shower, restroom, wc. Sauna building has also extra bedroom upstairs.
Canoe boats are available. Fishing is possible in river and ponds.
Nice barbecue place with shed is at your service.
Walks along river Gauja will improve anyone's mood.

Description of the area:

House is surrounded by pine trees and river Gauja. Wild animals and birds are often guests at Avotnieki yard. They come from near forests that are rich of berries, mushrooms and herbs. Dzerbene region is one of ecologically purest places in Latvia. It has many historical points of interest.

How to find us:

We are located 135km from our capital city Riga. You have to take direction to village Vecpiebalga. Use road A2 until you reach Berzkrogs, then turn to Vecpiebalga/Madona. When you reach village Taurene, make a turn left to Dzerbene. When entering centre of Dzerbene, turn right. You will pass a church and after 4,5km you will find a sign Avotnieki, which will guide you to our yard.
