Véronique & Alex welcome you in their 7 fully equipped cottages located in a 2'300sqm tropical garden with a swimming pool and sea view, facing the "Réserve Cousteau" marine park in Guadeloupe.

Detailed description:

Accommodation:
Each chalet has private access and can accommodate 2 to 3 guests. It is equipped as follow:
- One bedroom with a queen size bed, a single bed, TV, fan and mosquito net (supplement for air-con: 20€ per week).
- A separate bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and one cabinet.
- All bed linen and towels are provided and changed once a week. Don't forget to bring your beach towels.
- A separate kitchenette fully equipped with sink, refrigerator, 2 cooking plates, toaster, coffee machine, chinaware, cooking utensils and electric barbecue.
- A private terrace with table, chaises, deckchair or hamac. Almost all our chalets have sea view.
- Baby bed upon request.

One chalet is fully equipped for disabled persons.
One twin chalet has 2 bedrooms, for 4-6 persons.

The swimming pool (8m x 4m, 1. m at maximum depth) is secured according to the French security regulations.

The tropical Garden is 2300sqm

Description of the area:

Ideally located at the center of the Basse-Terre region, only 1 km off the sea, halfway between Deshaies (35 min) and the town of Basse-Terre (40 min). Close by the road crossing the island (10 min), you are 5 minutes off the "Cousteau Marine Park" and about 40 minutes off the main excursion sites: volcano "la Soufrière", waterfalls of Carbet, waterfalls of Matouba, ...

How to find us:

The Chalets "Sous-le-Vent" are located 40 Km away from the Pointe à Pitre Airport.

Getting out of the Airport, follow directions to Basse-Terre until the Versailles crossing, then follow the D23 road (route de la Traversée) towards Bouillante.

After the "col des Mamelles" (615m alt.), at the Bouillante/Pointe-Noire crossing turn left. Drive another 7 km to reach the Malendure beach, facing the Cousteau Marine Park. Continue for about 3 km and pass the petrol station, then at Pigeon after the street bumpers cross the small bridge, then turn left right after the Post Office. You can see "Sous-le-Vent" advert boards along the Post office.

Climb the Poirier road for 1 km, the Chalets "Sous-le-Vent" are on your left, 200m above "le Paradis Créole Restaurant"
