Description of the area:

Located in a tranquil surrounding. The Altmuehl river flows through the valley. On the other side of Arzberg is the new Rhine-Main-Danube-channel. Here you may go on a boat trip, for example to the famous "Befreiungshalle" near Kelheim and the break-through of the danube near Weltenburg with its famous monastery.
You are in Ingolstadt in about 30 minutes, in Nuernberg and Regensburg in about 45 minutes or in Munich in 90 minutes. To Ingolstadt, Nuernberg and Munich you can go by train with the "Bayern-ticket" (up to 5 persons 1 day for 29 Euros).
