In the large kitchen in the Gite you will find a microwave, washing machine, fridge with freezer cabinet and a gas hob.
In the Sitting room there is a large sofa, glass coffee table complete with television/DVD player.
The bedroom has a beautiful lattice work shaker double bed with access to your own private patio.
In the bathroom you will find a hydro body massage shower, W. . and basin.
The whole Gite retains its original feel with a huge traditional fireplace in the kitchen/diner and with beamed ceilings throughout La Petite Maison exudes charm and atmosphere.
'La Petite Maison' sleeps 2 and is ideal for couples as it is very private. Completely separate from the owner's house, it's on one floor and benefits from shared use of 3 acres of rolling parkland, and a 10 metre swimming pool. There are also various games: Boules (of course), Badminton, Darts etc.
On your own private patio you will find a
B-B-Q and garden furniture.
All bed linen, towels and pool towels are included in the price.
It is also possible to arrange dinner in advance, which is not included in the price and normally consists of a 4 course meal with wine.

La Petite Maison is surrounded by beautiful sunflower fields, pineau vines and wheat. From the patio you can look out over a valley with one other tiny house just visible nearly 2 kms away. La Petite Maison is set in the tranquil heart of rural France.
Poullignac is a very small village in the heart of the french country side. You find no shops here, but only 3 1/2 km you will find a shop with fresh bread and other essentials, plus a Post Office. Poullignac has a beautiful 12th Century church which can be seen from the garden and is lit up at night. The village is close to several historic towns and villages.

How to find us:

By Car
La Petite Maison is situated 2 minutes from the village of Poullignac, which itself is 30kms south of Angouleme and 70kms north of Bordeaux. The journey by car from Calais is about 8 hours, slightly less from more westerly French ports.

By Air
Ryanair services originating from Stansted arrive at Poitiers (1hr45 mins drive from the north) Bergerac (1hr30min drive from the south) Angouleme (45mins drive from the north), British Airways have a Gatwick service that arrives at Bordeaux and Easyjet fly in to Bordeaux from Luton.
Other flights to the region originate at Bristol and Southampton.
We do recommend that if you decide to travel by air or indeed train, once here, to hire a car. All the regional airports and large train stations have offices of the mayor car hire companies.
By Train
The French TGV network is amongst the best in the world. Fast, quite, punctual and serving the region well, trains stop in Angouleme and Bordeaux.
