Description of the area:

Klimno liegt auf der östlichen Seite der Insel Krk, alles in allem eine 10- minütige Fahrt von der Krk Brücke und dem Flughafen Rijeka entfernt.
Die Bucht Klimno beinhaltet die Orte Klimno, Soline und Cizici und ist für ihre Salzgruben bekannt, und seit neuerem für touristische Angebote in privaten Unterkünften und Heilschlamm zur Heilung von Knochenkrankheiten.
Die geschützte Bucht, das kristallklare, untiefe und warme Meer und das angenehme Klima ermöglichen das Baden und zahlreiche Wassersportarten ( Segeln, Rudern, Surfen und ähnliches) schon ab Mai bis zum Spätherbst.
Außer dem Effekt der Heilung bietet das Schlammbad auch eine weitere Atmosphäre des exotischen Urlaubes, und deshalb ist die Bucht mehr und mehr eine anziehende Attraktion sowie für Kinder als auch für Erwachsene.

Die Insel KRK liegt in der Kvarner Bucht und bildet mit ihrer Oberfläche von 409,9 km² die größte Insel der Adria.
