In the centre of the medieval town of Forcalquier you can make yourself comfortable in our apartment furnished in the style of van Gogh: A spacious kitchen with dining area and decorative fireplace, a cosy living room with pullout sofa and a generous master bedroom offer living space for 2 - 3. You will have a view either of the quaint medieval street "Marius Debout" or the ancient courtyard. Painter's ustensils are at your disposal, and we would be pleased if you followed Vincent's example for us. The garden is within 5 min. walking distance in the old city walls, offering a marvellous view of the surrounding mountains. Here, you can BBQ and sunbathe between two ancient caves and our lively fountain.

Description of the area:

The town of Forcalquier, situated halfway between Aix-en-Provence and the French Alps, is the cultural and commercial centre of the region with all facilities, fine restaurants, a modern public swimming pool, and one of the largest markets of the Provence every Monday morning. It was, besides Aix-en-Provence and Arles, the most important town of medieval Provence, and many of the remains can still be visited - foremost the old town centre where the apartment is located.
