Description of the area:

The hotel is situated in the Western part of the island of Rügen, near the National Park, facing the island of Hiddensee. The area around Schaprode, surrounded by water (on three sides), with its varied scenery and its beautiful shores offers plenty of opportunities for active and passive recreation. Our hotel is the ideal starting point for trips around the island of Ruegen and also for visiting the island of Hiddensee (no cars allowed), by overland route or by water. Discover this natural paradise on foot, from a horse-drawn carriage or by bicycle. The natural beach where you can swim is approximately 1.2 km away. Take a boat tour to discover the limestone cliffs. You can go fishing in the well-known waters… pike, pike-perch, perch, salmon and sea trout. Deep sea fishing and guided fishing tours are available almost all year-round. Plenty of geese and swan species, cranes, cormorants, and lapwings are at home here.

How to find us:

Coming from the A20 towards Stralsund. Over the Strehlasund bridge to Samtens. Turn left direction Gingst, cross the village, then on to Trent. Drive straight on into the village of Schaprode (straight on when you get to the fork road), after 100 m turn right towards Poggenhof, in the village keep right (please watch out for the signs at the first bend).
